Hi there arty friends! LynneJ here with my first DT post for Bleeding Art, and I wanted to do something unusual and a little quirky:
The chipboard grandfather clock is a 3D kit from Gypsy Soul Lasercuts, and I had so much fun creating this. I used dark grey wodgrain paper to cover the body of the clock, using the gear-patterned paper for the pull-out drawer and the inside back. I added a few black rubons to the sides of the piece, added some Stone Effects spray paint very lightly here and there
The phrase, "if the hands of time were hands that I could hold..." is a lyric from the theme song of the 70s movie "Brian's Song" and I have always loved this line and have been wanting to use it on a project for a long time-so glad I finally found the right one! I cut the hands from a photo I had from a kids' class I taught years ago.The lyrics are stickers attached to strips of vellum and twisted a bit for interest.I had recently watched a story with an angel character in it who was losing feathers from his wings, and that inspired me to add the feathers in the lower opening.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my project; I'm so happy for the chance to join up with an awesome and talented group of crafters and share my creations with you. Thanks for stopping by; stay crafty and stay safe....hugs, Lynne
