Steampunk Blog Hop....Gypsy Time Machine

Hello friends! I'm thrilled to be a part of this awesome blog hop-there are some truly amazing artists and projects along the way! I knew when I learned of the steampunk theme that I wanted to do something 3D, and I've been on a bit of a "time" theme kick lately, so what better than a steampunk "time machine" in a gypsy wagon?!?


The wagon itself is a chipboard kit from Gypsy Soul Lasercuts-a really awesome 3D piece to work with!
I had some cool Graphic 45 papers to use as backgrounds and fussy cut interesting elements out of, and some Gypsy Soul Lasercuts chipboard gears and other goodies. The roof is patterned felt which I painted black.


I used Finnabair Metallique wax in Rich Copper on most of the pieces after priming them with gold acrylic paint, then rubbed black ink here and there to grunge them up a bit.


I took apart a broken clock and salvaged these metal hands.
